Erin Whisenhunt
Principal
Ms. Whisenhunt began her career in education in Irving ISD as a science teacher and coach. During her career, she has served as a middle school teacher and coach, high school teacher and coach, administrative intern, and assistant principal at Rayburn STEAM Academy, and most recently an assistant principal at Garner Fine Arts Academy. She is entering her 10th year in Grand Prairie ISD and 15th year overall in education.
Ms. Whisenhunt earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, her Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington and is currently pursuing the completion of her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
She is a mom of two precious kids, a coach’s wife, and a servant leader. Ms. Whisenhunt says she’s proud and honored to lead with a servant heart for the students of GPISD.
